REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH - Scholars in Aceh expected China would give scholarships to student in Aceh for continuing their study in China, The Chief of Mandarin Education Coordination Council in Aceh, A Rani Usman, said. “Students' interest to study in China is high. We hope China can allocate scholarship for them,” Usman said in Banda Aceh.

He explained, today four Aceh students were studying in some universities in China. Three of them are the alumnus of IAIN Ar-Raniry Aceh. The high interest of Aceh students to continue their master and doctoral degrees is reflected in their willingness to study Mandarin, whether from Syiah Kuala University or from IAIN Ar-Raniry Aceh.

“If China offeres some scholarships to Aceh, many students will be happily apply,” Usman, who is also the vice of dean for cooperation in Dakwah Faculty IAIN Ar-Raniry Aceh, said.
