REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Pulau Pinang Police Department in Malaysia forms a special team to investigate rape case on an Indonesian citizen involving three Malaysian police. The Head of Criminal Unit at Pulau Pinang Police Department, Mazlan Kesah, promised that the investigation would be neutral, as cited on Kuala Lumpur local media.

An Indonesian worker, SM (25 years) was found to have only a copy of her passport, she was taken to the police office. SM begged to be dismissed. Instead of releasing her, three police personnel raped her. 

Then SM was taken to her place in Indrawasih Park, Perai, using police car. She was forced not to tell to anybody. Mazlan said the three police were arrested four hours after SM reported to Malaysian Chinese Association. 

The Head of National Board for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Overseas Workers (BNP2TKI), Moh Jumhur Hidayat, condemned the incident. He said that he was coordinating with Indonesian Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur, Herman Prayitno, to process the case and send the convicts to trial.
