Indonesia to develop instant noodle factory in Kazahstan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ASTANA - Market share of Indonesia's instant noodle can increase in Central Asia, particularly in Kazakhstan. Government of Kazakhstan asked Indonesian businessmen to invest in the country.

President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Abishuli Nazarbayev said trade cooperation between Indonesia and Kazakhstan continued to grow in the last 20 years. Nazarbayev believes two countries will achieve target of trade figures up to 100 million USD in 2017.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Indonesian businessmen would take advantages of investment opportunities in development of instant noodle factory in Kazakhstan. Moreover, Kazakhstan is producer of good wheat and wheat flour.

"Kazakhstan produces wheat and wheat flour and Indonesia has a long experience in developing instant noodle factory. Insya Allah (if it is God's willing ) we will invest here," Yudhoyono said in Presidential Palace of Kazakhstan recently.

Yudhoyono said logistical problems between Indonesia and Kazakhstan would be addressed by opening a direct flight route Jakarta to Astana. Not only in instant noodle cooperation, both presidents also talked about energy and cultural cooperation.
