REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA -- Yogyakarta Special Region residents demand PSI politician Ade Armando to be arrested and fired from PSI. This followed Ade Armando's statement calling DIY a manifestation of a political dynasty.
The demands were made by the Paguyuban of the Ngayogyakarta Society for Special Synamungan (Paman Usman) when holding a demonstration in front of DPW PSI Yogyakarta Office on Monday (4/12/2023). In the demonstration, representatives of Yogyakarta students also participated.
“Arrest Ade Armando and fire him from PSI,” said Uncle Usman's Representative, Widihasto in front of DPW PSI Yogyakarta Office, Yogyakarta City, Monday (4/12/2023).
Hasto said that it demanded that PSI take concrete action against its member, Ade Armando. This is because Ade Armando's statement is said to have hurt the hearts of people of Yogyakarta.
“I guess it can't be said that it was Ade Armando's personal action, because he is the candidate and manager of the DPP (PSI), there must be a clear political attitude from PSI to Ade Armando,” Hasto said.
Regarding the arrest charges against Ade Armando, Hasto said that the PSI politician had been indicated to disseminate false information. In fact, he said that Ade Armando was ignorant of the history related to Yogyakarta privilege.
“We asked the police to arrest Ade Armando for allegedly spreading false news, spreading hoaxes that did not comply with the legal facts related to Yogyakarta under the Yogyakarta Privileges Act,” he explained.
As is known, dozens of DIY residents filled the front of the DPW PSI Yogyakarta office to stage a demonstration on Monday (4/12/2023). The action was carried out following a statement by PSI politician Ade Armando who called Yogyakarta a form of political dynasty.
The crowd, who came from various elements of DIY society, regretted Ade Armando's statement made on his social media. This action was followed from the Ngayogyakarta Society for Special Synambangan (Uncle Usman), to Yogyakarta student representatives.
