REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, The pro-Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) Democrat Party (PD) considered the Moeldoko press conference at the project site of the Hambalang Athletic House, Citeureup, Bogor Regency, West Java, as a form of frustration.

"The Democrat Party emphasized that this press conference was a form of frustration and an attempt to cover up embarrassment to fake KLB participants and the wider public," said the Head of the Strategic Communications Board of the Democratic Party's DPP, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, in a written statement, Thursday (25/3).

The KLB version of PD wants to divert the issue from the series of efforts in the last two weeks which were deemed unsuccessful. First, he said after the fake KLB they would immediately submit the file to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. In fact, it took over a week to apply.

Second, Marzuki Alie's report to Bareskrim Polri was rejected. Third, Moeldoko's report to Polda Metro Jaya was also rejected.

"Finally, Marzuki Alie and friends' lawsuit to the PN, was dropped because of their lack of confidence in legal standing," said Herzaky.

He said his party would remain focused on several points, such as waiting for the attitude of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to drop the KLB version of the PD application. "Then focus on the lawsuit against the law that we filed at the Central Jakarta District Court, against Jhony Allen, Darmizal, Marzuki Alie, and friends, for the use of the attributes of the Democratic Party and the implementation of KLB that is against the law," he also said.

Previously, a politician from the KLB version of the Democratic Party, Max Sopacua, revealed the reason they hold a press conference at the Hambalang Athletic House project site, which was to recall the past.

"Why is this KLB Democrat in Hambalang. This is the place, this project is one of the parts that undermines the electability of Democrats when these events occur," Max said during a press conference.

According to him, since the investigation of the Rp2.5 trillion megaproject corruption case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Democrat Party's electability has continued to decline because it dragged high-ranking PD officials.

"Hambalang is part of a defining history that caused Democrats to fall from 20.4 percent to 10.2 percent and 7.3 percent," he said.

Max pointed out that there are still some unscrupulous cadres of the Democratic Party who also enjoy the corruption results of Wisma Atlet, but until now they have not been prosecuted.
