REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The President of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said Indonesia will continue its political support to Palestine.
"Other than humanitarian support, Indonesia will continue political support to Palestine. I emphasize, Indonesia will stand with Palestine to achieve its freedom," Jokowi said in Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, Monday (Nov.20, 2023).
Jokowi said, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi as special envoy of The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was visiting several countries to gather support to stop masacre in Gaza, Palestine. Marsudi also has been urge a ceasefire to let humanitarian aid enter Gaza savely.
"Those are all to help people in Gaza," Jokowi said.
On Monday (Nov.20, 2023), Jokowi escorted second term of humanitarian aid from Indonesia for Palestine. The 21 tons aid of medicines, healthcare stuffs, foods, and othera were sent from Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta.
"Alhamdulillah, today we delivered again stuffs for our brothers in Gaza. All these aids would be flew by two planes," he added.
The 2,06 million USD aids were provided from government's budget and also donations from public and companies such as PT Paragon Technology & Innovation, Indonesia Humanitarian Alliance, Kita Bisa, Baznas, and others.
"Like the first term aid, the planes would flew to Al Arish in Egypt then to Gaza," Jokowi Said.
