REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOJONEGORO -- Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy reminded that the health sector is a key aspect in creating a strong, intelligent and noble generation, to realize a superior generation by 2045.
“Healthy first, then smart, constantly strong, and of noble character. These four are the key, these are the prerequisites if we want to create the golden generation of the next 2045,” Muhadjir said during the event “Paving the First Stone for the Construction of Ji'rona Building on Semarak Milad Emas” at Hospital (RS) Aisyiyah Bojonegoro, East Java quoted in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11/2023).
Muhadjir said that the existence of Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital has become very important to provide optimal health services to the surrounding community. According to him, the improvement of adequate health facilities and infrastructure as well as capable health resources are needed to provide the best services in a timely and timely manner.
“Hopefully this hospital can be designed with an advanced concept so that it can really provide services to the community. In addition, we hope to increase the life expectancy of the people of Bojonegoro Regency, which is still classified as low,” said the former rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM).
In addition, Muhadjir also encouraged the contribution of health services from the Bojonegoro Regency government with Aisiyah Bojonegoro Hospital to continue to be improved. Especially, he added, to support government priority programs, such as accelerating the decline in stunting, which will still stand at 24.3 percent in 2022.
President Joko Widodo has also previously passed Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health which encourages expanded hospital health service functions. Hospital services are encouraged not only limited to promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services, but also those of a palliative nature.
On the same occasion, Muhadjir led the laying of the first stone of the construction of Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital which would later stand seven stories high equipped with 118 rooms. It is hoped that after the construction of the new building, the class status of Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital can be upgraded from type C to type B.
