REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas/National Zakat Board) RI received Palestinian income of Rp 1 billion from the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) RI, as a form of concern This is a response to the suffering of the Palestinian people. The handover of assistance was carried out at Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Building, Jakarta, on Friday (8/12/2023), attended by the Head of Baznas RI, KH Achmad Sudrajat, Acting Head of BPOM RI, Dra Lucia Rizka Andalusia.

The head of Baznas, Achmad Sudrajat, expressed his gratitude for the income given by BPOM RI. According to him, it is also a moral support and international solidarity in the face of humanitarian challenges in the region.

“Thank you for the help provided. We hope that these intertwined positive synergies can benefit the wider community more,” Ahmad Sudrajat said.

Baznas ensures that the process of distributing aid continues, in order to maintain the trust and trust of Indonesians who care deeply about the Palestinian people.

“Currently, 81 tons of aid delivered by Baznas RI to Palestine have been sent, including medicine, clothing, and more. We are ensuring that aid will continue to be sent, in order to ease the burden on our brothers in Palestine,” he said in a press release.

In order to support the acceleration of aid, Baznas is working with Egyptian institutions to ensure rapid delivery of aid.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of BPOM RI, Lucia Rizka Andalusia, said this aid was a form of concern for BPOM RI employees and extended families for the suffering felt by the Palestinian people as a result of Israeli military aggression.

“Hopefully this help can be of more benefit to those in need. And we sincerely hope that the Palestinian people can rise up as soon as possible. We entrust the distribution of aid to Baznas who have experience in distributing aid in various places,” he said.
