REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Rumah Wakaf distributes the Braille Quran to 21 outstanding schools and foundations in the provinces of West Sumatra and Riau.
“Thank God we have received the Quran from the House of Waqf, before that we did not have a braille Quran because of its high price. Thanks to the Quran from this Waqf House, our students can learn the Quran more passionately,” said Yenti, Representative of SLB Mutiara An Nafi, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra, in a written statement on Tuesday (12/12/2023).
Not only that, Rumah Waqf also gave a braille Quran to 10 Visually Impaired Companions in Rancaekek, Bandung Regency. One of the recipients of the braille Quran is Dedi Mulyadi, he is a visually impaired person who works as a teacher at one of the SLBs in Bandung.
Dedi admitted that he was very happy with the help of the braille Quran that he got from the House of Waqf.
“The braille Quran that I have is already illegible, because it is often worn, even the headscarf has been removed a lot. Thank God there is help from the House of Waqf to make me more active in reading the Quran, I aim to be able to recite the Quran 10 times within a month,” he said.
“Rumah Waqf has produced the Braille Quran in order to accommodate the needs of the community as optimally as possible. For people who need a braille Quran, please come to our office in Lengkong Subdistrict, Bandung,” said Rumah Wakaf Soleh CEO.
