REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) RI received the second phase distribution of Palestinian humanitarian income from Baznas of Bengkulu Province amounting to IDR 225,756,000. The handover of the aid was held at Baznas RI Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/12/2023).
The head of Baznas RI Collection Field Rizaludin Kurniawan thanked the people of Bengkulu for the concern of the people of Bengkulu who have submitted their help for the Palestinian community in the second phase through Baznas of Bengkulu Province.
“Alhamdulillah Baznas continues to be given the opportunity, to get trust from Indonesians across Indonesia to fund our funds for the people of Gaza, Palestine,” he said, in a written statement on Thursday (14/12/2023).
Rizaludin said Baznas has worked closely with major Egyptian institutions to facilitate the distribution of aid, such as Mishr Al Kheir, Bayt Zakat Wa As-Shadaqat, and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
Rizaludin said Baznas, in cooperation with Mishr Al-Kheir, again delivered humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the amount of 6 container trucks through Egypt's Rafah Gate.
“In sending this assistance, Baznas will channel in three stages, namely the emergency phase, the recovery phase and the rebuilding phase. God willing Baznas ensures that all aid funds will reach the people of Gaza, the Palestinians,” he said.
Chairman of Baznas of Bengkulu Province Dr Fazrul Hamidy said that the people of Bengkulu Province are very enthusiastic to help the Palestinian people. It is a form of concern and contribution for the people in Gaza, Palestine.
“The first phase has already been handed over, and this is the second phase, which collected IDR 282,195,000, God willing Baznas of Bengkulu Province is still collecting funds for the Palestinian people,” he said.
