REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jasa Raharja guarantees all victims of the collision between KA Turangga and local train Commuter Line Bandung Raya, which occurred at Haurpugur intersection, Cicalengka, Km 181+700, Bandung, West Java, on Friday (5/1/2024).

Operations Director of Jasa Raharja Dewi Aryani Suzana said that all victims were guaranteed by Law number 33 of 1964 on the Public Passenger Accident Compulsory Insurance Fund. Dewi said that in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of RI No.15 of 2017, the deceased received a benefit from Jasa Raharja amounting to Rp 50 million which was handed over to the legitimate heirs.

“For injured victims, we have issued a guarantee letter of maximum Rp 20 million paid to the hospital where the victim was treated,” Dewi said in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday (5/1/2024).

Dewi explained welfare as a basic protection that is one of the forms of state presence towards society. Jasa Raharja as a state-owned enterprise carrying out the mandate, says Dewi, is committed to continuing to strive to provide the best service, easy, fast, and precise.

“As soon as we were informed of the accident, we immediately responded quickly. Jasa Raharja officers directly coordinated with the police and related agencies to carry out the recording of the victim in order to accelerate the delivery of his words,” Dewi said.

Over the disaster, Jasa Raharja also expressed his deep concern and grief. The goddess hopes that the abandoned families will be strengthened and that the victims who are receiving treatment will be healed immediately.

The incident, which occurred around 6:03pm, led to the deaths of three people and 21 injuries. The victims have been evacuated to Cicalengka Hospital, Occupational Health Hospital, and AMC Hospital.
