REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep went on a safari or political tour to a number of regions in Sumatra to win the second presidential and vice presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 general election.
“We toured Sumatra to absorb people's aspirations, hear, and offer solutions that we can work with,” said DPP Secretary General of PSI Raja Juli Antoni after accompanying Kaesang to meet with influencers and creative communities at SME Premium Coffee, Banda Aceh City, Aceh, on Friday.
On Friday morning, Kaesang met with influencers and creative industry players to discuss creative content.
“In Aceh, there needs to be a creative economic ecosystem in order to accommodate young people,” Juli said.
In this city of Banda Aceh, he said, Kaesang will also carry out face-to-face meetings or land coffee (kopdarwil) of managers and candidates throughout Aceh.
“We gather PSI candidates and administrators to ensure PSI's victory in the legislative elections and ensure Prabowo-Gibran wins in Aceh,” he said.
After that, Kaesang accompanied by his wife Erina Sofia Gudono will fly to North Sumatra (Sumut) for an interactive discussion with environmental activists in Toba, Sumut.
In Toba, Kaesang made a pilgrimage to Sisingamangaraja Tomb in Silalahi Pagar Batu of Balige District.
On Friday night, Kaesang attended the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 solidarity concerts in North Tapanuli District, Sumut.
Not only that, Kaesang also made political safaris to Padang (West Sumatra), Bengkulu, Palembang (South Sumatra), Jambi, Pekanbaru (Riau Islands), Batam, and Bangka Belitung. The political safari was conducted from Friday (5/1) to Monday (8/1).
It is hoped that the political safari will reap the sympathy of the people of Sumatra to win Prabowo-Gibran and vote for PSI in the elections.
KPU RI on Monday, (13/11), has appointed three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to be participants in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Election.
Results of the Draw and Determination of the Sequence of the 2024 Presidential Election Participants on Tuesday, (14/11), Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka sequence number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD sequence number 3.
The Commission has also set a campaign period from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024. Then, schedule the vote on February 14, 2024.
