This is related to the prediction of BI Representative of the NTT Region for the economic growth of NTT in 2024 which is projected to rise in the range of 2.74 to 3.53 percent cumulative per cumulative (ctc). An El Nino that impacts the decrease in rainfall needs to be watched out for because it will impact food stocks and will lead to inflation in NTT.

The Department of Agriculture and Food Security of NTT itself assures that there will be crop failures in 2024 if the implementation of cropping is not shifted. Now farmers are invited to start planting during January to February 2024. This is different from previous years because the planting process begins in October each year.
