REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BENGKULU -- The Provincial Government of Bengkulu together with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bengkulu Province held the selection of regional Hajj officers (PHD) who will serve in the organization of Hajj 2024.
“We hope very well that PHDs who are selected and later declared to graduate, both knowledgeably, physically and psychologically, they are really ready to carry out their duties,” said Assistant I of the Provincial Government of Bengkulu Khairil Anwar in Bengkulu, Tuesday (30/1/2024).
A total of 30 declared participants passed the administrative selection, and will undergo final selection, before being designated as PHD Bengkulu Province 2024. Bengkulu Provincial Government will assign PHDs this year to 15 people.
Bengkulu Provincial Government Canwil Muhammad Abdu explained that for the final stage, 30 selection participants underwent 3 selections, namely CAT, followed by interview tests and ended with psychological tests.
“So we conducted a new psychological test this year, considering that this time PHD needs an extra companion because the number of pilgrims in 2024 will be 1,700. Surely a PHD needs patience and self-treatment to the different ages and behavior of the worshippers,” he said.
Kanwil Kemenag Bengkulu said that in addition to the PHD recruitment process, the process of paying the Hajj worship travel expenses (BIPIH) is currently underway.
Chairman of the Regular Hajj Registration and Documents Team Kanwil Kemenag Bengkulu Allazi said the repayment process had been opened from January 9 until February 12, 2024.
According to him, if until February 12, 2024, the pilgrims who are candidates for Hajj do not make the payment, they will not be able to participate in this year's Hajj, and it will be scheduled to return in 2025.
“So our hope, to JCH of Bengkulu Province, often coordinate with the health service for timely departure and repayment process,” he said.
