REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated seven road sections in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), which is the implementation of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023. The inauguration was held in Gunungkidul Regency, DIY, on Tuesday (30/1/2024).
“And by proclaiming bismillahirrahmanirrahim, seven sections of Inpres Jalan Daerah in the Special Regional Province of Yogyakarta this afternoon I declare that they were inaugurated,” Jokowi said in his speech, quoted from a press release by the Presidential Secretariat.
Through the Inpres, the government is committed to not only building the motorway infrastructure, but also accelerating the improvement of regional road connectivity.
“Through this Inpres we will deal with damaged non-national roads,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi also said that the government has handled seven road sections and one bridge in DIY. The handling of the road segment used a budget of Rp 162 billion.
“In Kulonprogo Regency one segment, in Gunungkidul Regency two segments, in Bantul Regency two segments, in Sleman Regency two sections,” he said.
He also hopes that the entire section of the road can soon be used by the surrounding community. One of them is to improve mobility, both people and goods, as well as promote the equalization and growth of the regional economy.
According to the data of the Ministry of PUPR, the seven road sections and one bridge that were inaugurated are:
1. Wonosari-Mulo Road
(Gunungkidul District)
2. Semanu-Karangmojo Road
(Gunungkidul Regency)
3. Prambanan-Gayamharjo Road
(Sleman District)
4th. Gejayan-Manukan Road
(Sleman County)
5. Patuk-Terong Road (Bantul Regency)
6. Imogiri-Dodogan Road
(Bantul District)
7. Pandansimo Bridge (Bantul District)
8. Brosot-Toyan Road (Kulon Progo District)
Accompanying the President in the inauguration were PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, DIY Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, and Regent Gunungkidul Sunaryanta.
