REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BALIKPAPAN -- RI Presidential Candidate Ganjar Pranowo stressed that election ethics violators should have shame and be responsible for their actions. Ganjar in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, said that ethical violations that had already occurred would be a burden on the conduct of the election.
The former governor of Central Java asked again if the issue of ethical violations had been decided, especially with a warning, what individuals who violated ethics did to this.
“There should be shame, there should be an apology. I'm not sure they dare resign, wong who in the Court just backed down, just got fired, still sued. I don't know if this country has really lost its ethics and morals. So this is a very loud warning in the democratic process,” he said.
Referring to the violation of electoral ethics, Ganjar called on the people to repent and be aware and get back on the right track.
Earlier, the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) ruled that the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of RI Hashim Asy'ari and six other members violated the code of conduct in accepting the registration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate.
