REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The presidential candidate who won the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo Subianto, asked for prayers to the descendants of Habib Ali Kwitang, namely Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy. He begged to be prayed to be able to work well as the president of RI 2024-2029.
“I ask for another prayer for our future work to be good for the people,” Prabowo said after visiting the residence of Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy in Kwitang, Central Jakarta, Friday (16/2/2024) at noon.

Prabowo said that in addition to visiting the residence of Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy, he also visited the tombs of Habib Ali Kwitang and his son, Habib Muhammad. For the record, Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy was the grandson of Habib Muhammad.
According to Prabowo, his father, Soemitro Djojohadikusumo was friendly with Habib Muhammad. “I have told my late grandfather, grandmother and parents (of Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy). It just so happened that his grandfather was my parents' best friend. His parents were also good to me. So, I come here often,” he said.
Meanwhile, Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy thanked Prabowo for making a pilgrimage to the grave of Habib Ali Kwitang, who was a great teacher for the people of Jakarta. “Thank God,” he said.
“Hopefully, with the blessing of this fellowship God willing, we can reach... and hopefully this is not the last sowan, but this is the beginning of the next sowan,” Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy added.
According to Republika.co.id, Prabowo visited the tombs of Habib Ali Kwitang and Habib Muhammad located in the area of Al Riyadh Mosque, Kwitang, after Friday prayers. Prabowo came accompanied by Gerindra Party DPP Secretary General Ahmad Muzani and Defence Minister Spokesman Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.
Prabowo's arrival was welcomed by Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsy. They all went straight into the tomb chamber and prayed for a few minutes. Prabowo, dressed in a brown safari suit and a black kopiya, appeared to pray solemnly while standing facing the tomb.
