But the certainty of whether the two naturalized players were demoted or not, is in the hands of coach Shin Tae-yong. “God willing, we can play for tomorrow's game. But to be relegated or not is coach Shin's decision. But the fact of the requirements, both can be played,” Sumardji said in his statement on Monday (25/3/2024).

Earlier it was rumored that some of the pillar players of the Indonesian national team were in poor condition. They are Marc Klok, Ivar Jenner, Rafael Struick, Nadeo Argawinata and Riyandi. In addition, there is also Sandy Walsh who has accumulated cards. Even Klok and Nadeo are referred to have already left the team for recovery.

Sumardji said that the players' conditions were still not stable ahead of the game. “I just got a phone call. The player's condition is still not stable according to team doctors who standby monitor the children's development hour by hour. Their condition is still limp and dizzy,” he said.

“I think Ivar also experienced the same thing, but Rafael joined today because from last night the doctor said his condition was good,” he added.

On the other hand, Shin Tae-yong has summoned three new players to fill the void left. They are Ernando Ari Sutaryadi, Rachmat Irianto and Muhammad Ferarri.
