REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of the Communications, Public Information Services and Cooperation Bureau (KLIK) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Agus Cahyono Adi, said that the job opportunities in the environmentally friendly sector (green jobs) in the future are very large, so human resources must be prepared.
"There are lots of opportunities in green jobs. That's what we have to look at. The entire green energy supply chain, from planning, handling, biofuel, to maintenance," said Agus in his speech at the Ngabuburit Sobat Energi discussion in Jakarta, Saturday ( Mar.30,2024).
Agus said that there are many job opportunities in the green energy sector that still require young talent. He hopes that the participants in this activity can see the opportunities and opportunities that exist in the green jobs sector.
Director of HR and Business Support at PT Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (NRE) Irzan Noor Rizki said that the green jobs sector requires the abilities of young people. "The world of green energy is a new world. We need young blood or colleagues who have idealism. I am sure those are present in today's young people," he said.
Irzan also explained that from year to year job prospects in the renewable energy sector always increase. Therefore, many projects will develop in the future, especially in the energy sector.
"With so many new projects starting, the opportunities are huge. Plus there is also the need for experts who are young and have passion," he said.
He also advised young people who want to work in the renewable energy sector to prepare more energy. This is to balance the project based system that is implemented.
"Energy in this context is energy that is prepared with passion and enthusiasm to develop in the green jobs that will be pursued later," Irzan said.
