REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the new Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU), Marshal Madya (Marsdya) Mohamad Tonny Harjono at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta on Friday (5/4/2024). Tonny Harjono replaces Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo who will enter retirement age on 9 April 2024.
“The inauguration of KSAU is on Friday,” Jokowi said while releasing humanitarian aid for Palestine and Sudan in Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta, Wednesday (3/4/2024).
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has appointed Marsdya Mohamad Tonny Harjono as the 24th KSAU replacing Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo. The appointment is set out in the Presidential Decree Number 20/TNI/2024 dated March 25, 2024, which also governs the dismissal of Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo from his post.
“The President has signed the Presidential Decree Number 20/TNI/2024 dated March 25, 2024 on the honorable dismissal of Army Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo from his post as KSAU, and the appointment of Marshal Madya TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono as the new KSAU,” said Coordinator of Special Staff of the President of RI, Ari Dwipayana to Republika.co.id, Tuesday (2/4/2024).
He is a former aide to President Jokowi and Military Secretary to the President (Sesmilpres). In addition to being known as an aviator of F-16 and Sukhoi fighter aircraft, he has served Danlanud Adi Soemarmo.
