REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinator Spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, said that Prabowo Subianto had asked Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to submit the names of proposed ministers in his cabinet. The Democratic Party itself is sure to propose its best cadres.

As for the best cadre of the party emblazoned with the star of mercy, it is AHY. According to him, AHY was right to fill a position in Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet because of his good leadership track record.

“We are not sure, but Mr. Prabowo has asked for the best cadres from the Democrats. Now Democrats are the best number one who? Yes mas AHY, our seal,” Herzaky said at the AHY office house, Jakarta, Thursday (18/4/2024) evening.

“If you ask me personally, Mas AHY is not a priority, but Mas AHY is the first person who should be a minister from the Democrats,” he said.

The Democratic Party itself is said to have been allocated four ministerial seats in Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet. One was the position of coordinating minister, in which Herzaky was reluctant to confirm such.

“It may be in the minister, it may be technical, depending on Mr. Prabowo, because Mas AHY has never chosen a task. Wherever he is placed ready, trusted by Mr. Prabowo, to provide the best place for the people of the nation and the country,” Herzaky said.

Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani said that the discussions of the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet were intensifying ahead of the Constitutional Court's (MK) ruling on the disputed 2024 presidential election. Including communication with the Indonesian Maju Coalition political party and professional figures.

He then explained that a number of conditions had to be met to be part of Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet. The most important thing is to know the program that the number 2 candidate pair developed during the campaign.

“As presidential aides, the requirement to be a minister in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet is that they know, understand and approve the president's program. Whether campaigned or talked about in presidential and vice presidential debates,” Muzani said at Nusantara III Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (18/4/2024).

He stressed that the minister is an aide to the president who should not have his own policies. The minister's stated policy is to follow the presidential program, in this case it is Prabowo who was elected in the presidential election (presidential election) 2024.

“Understanding and agreeing to the president's and vice president's programs is a must. Since the minister is an aide to the president, he will carry out the work program from the president's policy, not the minister's policy,” Muzani stressed.
