REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta called the candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor from the independent line Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana gathered 749,298 supporters as a condition to advance in the district election (election) of DKI Jakarta.

“From the documents we have checked, the result was 749,298 support collected in six cities/districts in DKI Jakarta Province,” said DKI Jakarta Technical Division Head Dody Wijaya in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/5/2024).

Dody said that next couple of independent candidates will be given the opportunity to upload the documents on the terms of support to the Silon application in 3x24 hours.

Thus, Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana have qualified support to compete in the DKI Jakarta Pilgub. It is expected that the process of loading supporting data into the Silon application runs smoothly without any interruptions.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta stated that there was only one pair of independent or independent candidates who submitted the terms of support until the last day of submission of the file to the local KPU.

KPU DKI officially closed the submission of documents on terms of support for future independent or independent candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta on Sunday (12/5) at 23.59 WIB.

Dharma couple Pongrekun-Kun Wardana stated the terms of support uploaded through the Silon app about 160 thousand and the terms of support in physical form about 690 thousand.

In accordance with the Decision of the Jakarta DKI KPU No. 47 of 2024, independent candidates must have the public support of 7.5 percent of the total Permanent Voter List (DPT) of DKI Jakarta in the previous election, which is about 618,968 endorsements that must be obtained in the form of a statement of support along with an ID card.

Here is the schedule for fulfilling the requirements for the support of individual candidates (paslon) spouses in the 2024 DKI election:

Announcement of submission of support on Sunday (May 5, 2024) -Tuesday (May 7, 2024);

Submission of documents requiring the support of individual candidates to the Provincial Commission and the District/City Commission on Wednesday (May 8, 2024) -Sunday (May 12, 2024);

Verification of the administration of support condition documents by the Provincial Commission and the District/City Commission on Monday (May 13, 2024) - Wednesday (May 29, 2024);

Response to support on Monday (May 13, 2024) -Friday (July 26, 2024);

Recapitulation of the results of administrative verification by the Provincial and District/Municipal Commission on Monday (May 27, 2024) - Wednesday (May 29, 2024);

Submission of the recapitulation results by the Provincial Commission to the District/City Commission and submission from the District/City Commission to the PPS on Thursday (May 30, 2024) -Monday (June 3, 2024).
