REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian national team will host the Philippines on the last matchday of Group F of the World Cup Qualifier 2026 Asia Zone at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Tuesday (11/6/2024) evening. This match will determine the Garuda squad's move forward.
Winning, means a ticket to qualify for the third round of qualifying is in hand. That is, the dream of competing in the World Cup is getting closer to being realized, although the road will be even more steep to pass.
A draw, let alone a loss, can be a nightmare. Because, Indonesia should expect help from Iraq to conquer Vietnam in Basrah, Iraq. Because, the difference in superiority of Indonesia, which is ranked second in Group F, is only one point from Vietnam in third place. Only the top two teams from each second round qualifying group will qualify for the third round.
