REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave a badge of honor to 64 figures ranging from NasDem Party General Chairman Surya Paloh to Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir. The Embedding of the Title of Merit and the Mark of Honor (GTK) was held at Istana Negara, on Wednesday (14/8/2024).

Jokowi gave a mark of merit and honor as the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Awarding marks of merit and honor to Keppres 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108 in 2024.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Chairman of the GTK Board Hadi Tjahjanto said the figures below were judged to have been eligible to receive marks of merit and honor in accordance with the provisions of the law. The determination of the figure has already been chosen through a GTK Board hearing.

“This award of merit marks and marks of honor is given to ministers, deputy ministers, and other officials for their service during their tenure in the government of Mr. President Joko Widodo,” Hadi said in the capital of the archipelago, East Kalimantan, Monday (12/8/2024).
