Therefore, according to him, events such as MTQ not only have a spiritual impact, but also help the host community gain sustainable economic benefits.

“This National MTQ shows that religious events can be a force to awaken a new economy for local communities,” said the Chairman of the 30th National MTQ Implementing Committee in a press release received by Republika.co.id on Wednesday (11/92024).

Not only that, Zayadi said, the National MTQ is also an event for other provinces to showcase their superior products through the more than 30 booths provided. He explained that the event was an ideal place to introduce local products to a wider public.

“Through MTQ, we can see how local products from different provinces are able to compete and gain national attention,” he said.

The event, which takes place September 8-15, also presents the Halal Food Expo and Exhibition featuring more than 200 booths, 70 halal culinary booths, as well as 30 excellent products from various regions in Indonesia.

According to Zayadi, the National MTQ event is not only the largest religious competition in Indonesia, but also an important momentum to move the economy of the region that hosts the MTQ.

“We see MTQ's strategic role in improving the local economic sector, especially in East Kalimantan. In addition to being a Quran shayar, this MTQ is a platform for people to promote and develop the excellent products of their region,” said Zayadi

He expressed deep appreciation to the people of Kaltim who have supported the holding of the National MTQ this time very well. He hopes that the creative economy movement created during the MTQ can continue to grow even after the event ends.

“This MTQ is just the beginning, hopefully the collaboration between MSMEs, the government, and the public will continue to be established so that East Kalimantan's creative economy can grow faster,” Zayadi said.
