REPUBLICA.CO.ID, LOMBOK -- The number of MotoGP spectators at the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) during the three-day event on 27-29 September 2024 reached 120,000 people. Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) director Priandhi Satria said that based on ticket counter data, the number of spectators entered reached 120,000 people out of a total of 134 thousand tickets printed.
“We have not sorted out the data for each day, but the overall figure is based on the results of spectators scanning the ticket barcodes at the ticket entrances to the spectator stands,” he said accompanied by Mandalika MotoGP Chairman Troy Warokka, Head of NTB Tourism Office, Jamaluddin Malady and Kapokja International Event Kemenpar Ki Agus Irvan Faesal at the Mandalika Circuit Media Center, Sunday (29/9/29) 2024).
According to him, this number of spectators is equal to Dorna Sport's record, and there is an increase in the number of MotoGP spectators in 2024 compared to the number of MotoGP spectators in 2023 which reached 102,929 people and in 2022 by 102,801.
“There is an increase in audience numbers when you look at it from 2022 and 2023. So for 2024 this is higher,” he said.
