REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said that the rapid technological breakthroughs of recent times demand that world leaders be wiser and more patient in dealing with everything. The rapid development of technology is becoming a reality that must be approached wisely.

“Our planet is getting smaller. We are now in a world full of technological breakthroughs. “These remarkable technological breakthroughs demand leaders to be wiser, more patient and more accommodating,” Prabowo said.

This was stated by Prabowo while speaking at the APEC CEO Summit 2024 forum, in Peru, Thursday (14/11/2024) local time, as shown by the YouTube video of the Presidential Secretariat witnessed in Jakarta on Friday (15/11/2024).

Prabowo posited that the power of technology can bring significant progress to human life. But on the other hand, the power of technology can also destroy human lives very quickly.

“Therefore, I have always chosen the path of collaboration, engagement, communication, negotiation,” Prabowo said.

The Head of State also said at the moment geopolitical tensions are taking place on a global scale. But Prabowo stressed his optimism that in the interests of humanity, the leaders of the world's major nations, in the final analysis, will always put the common good and the common good in the first place.
