REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia and Australia signed an agreement on fiscal policy and staff capacity building during the sidelines of G20 Finance Minister and Central Banks Governors' Meeting in Moscow, Russia.
"Indonesia and Australia have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Australian Treasury and Indonesian Ministry of Finance," Ministry of Finance stated on the press release on Sunday. The MoU is signed by Indonesian Minister of Finance Agus Martowardojo and Deputy Prime Minister of Australia Wayne Swan.
Through the agreement, both countries aim to develop cooperation through periodical economic dialogue and fiscal exchange program, and cooperate on economy, international economy, tax policy, finance and climate change.
Minister Martowardojo also held bilateral meeting with the US Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs Lael Brainard. They discussed on the G20 Agenda, including infrastructure financing, global financial regulation, and bilateral relations on economy and finance.
