REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian government expresses its condolences over the death of the 'Iron Lady' Margaret Thatcher, died aged 87. The Britain's first and only woman prime minister died peacefully on Monday morning at the Ritz Hotel because of stroke.
Presidential Spokesman, Julian Aldrin Pasha, said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) send Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa to UK to send our condolences," Pasha said on late Monday.
Thatcher had been in poor health for months. The death of her husband, Denis, in 2003 and creeping dementia had kept her out of the public eye for years. Funeral with military honors will be held at London's St. Paul's Cathedral next week.
