Three Indonesian students meet Australian PM

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Three Indonesian students have the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister (PM) of Australia, Julia Gillard at the Australian Parliament House, Canberra, Australia. The students and Indonesian delegation followed the Apprentice Program Study 2013 in the Northern Territory, Australia.

This program was initiated by the Cattle Buffalo Club (CBC), Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java, in collaboration with Indonesian Scholar Association Livestock (ISPI) and the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA).

The program aims to share knowledge about cattle industry between Indonesia and Australia.

Their activities got attention from Gillard then led her to hand in invitations to the students.The prime minister said the program pioneered by the CBC was great for better relations between Indonesia and Australia. 

The students and Indonesian delegation also met with Craig Emerson (Australian Trade Minister), Joe Ludwig (Australian Minister for Agriculture) and Catherine King (Minister for Regional Services). They also met with Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, Riphat Kesoema Najib.
