REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHRAN -- Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Hassan Abutorabifard and Cambodian Parliament Vice-Speaker Negonen Nehel in a meeting on Monday called for expansion of cooperation.
Abutorabifard noted that Iran and Cambodia have good potentials for economic cooperation in all fields.
"The Asian countries are emerging as new economic and political powers and their cooperation is promising."
Negonen Nehel for his part welcomed the development of ties with Iran in all fields.
"There are good ground for cooperation between Iran and Cambodia in the fields of energy and agriculture."
The Cambodia parliamentary delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a four-day visit to Iran.
Iranian parliament has embarked on diplomatic contacts to strengthen ties with parliaments of other countries, following the program declared by President Hassan Rouhani to develop constructive interaction with the world.
Delegations representing the European Parliament (EP), Italy, South Korea and many others have paid visits to the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past few months.
