REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ANKARA -- The body of a young Turkish footballer who disappeared off the coast of Alanya in southern Turkey on Thursday night was found Saturday, private Dogan news agency reported.
Divers from the coast guard search and rescue teams in Turkey retrieved the body of Sedat Yuce about 50 meters west of a hotel's beach from where he went out of sight while swimming with his friends.
The body, found floating near the pier of another hotel, has been moved to the local cemetery's morgue for a post-mortem.
The 20-year-old right back was capped for Turkey's Under-19 national team in the 2013 Mediterranean Games and had a contract with Ankaraspor from the second-tier division of Turkey.
