REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- Scenes from some Indonesian movies including "Soegija," "Habibie & Ainun," and "Laura & Marsha" are enlivening the Hague Tong Tong Festival in the Netherlands.

"These movies that teach about the meaning of life, opportunity and friendship were warmly welcomed by Tong Tong festival visitors," said the chief of the Festival and Film Exhibition from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Molly Prabawaty, here on Tuesday.

After the video footage of the three movies was played, discussions were held with the person representing the movie or either the producer or director.

"This event was held to introduce and promote tourism and the creative economy of Indonesian products, especially Indonesian movies, to Dutch society," stated Molly.

One of the movies, "Habibie & Ainun," tells the love story of Indonesia's third president, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, and his wife, Hasri Ainun Habibie.

"Habibie & Ainun" has been translated into various languages including German, Arabic, English, and Japanese.
