REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - National Police Chief, Gen Sutarman said that Indonesian government would help Malaysia to identify victims of the MH17 crash. He said that Indonesia had a team of victim identification specialists, Disaster Victim Identification (DVI).

"We have international reputation to help the identification," Sutarman said on Monday.

According to Sutarman, Indoneaia had good experience in the field. All 298 people in Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 were killed when the airliner crashed on Thursday in eastern Ukraine at Russia's border. There were 12 Indonesian citizens in the plane from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Indonesian Police has collected victims' data from their families. 

"We also have collected the victims' initial data, so that later we can match it with their remains," Sutarman added.
