REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- The Indonesian Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany, will publish an Indonesian-themed stamp series for the Guest of Honor of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 that will be held in October 2015.
Malvino Aprialdy, the third secretary of the Indonesian consulate, stated here on Wednesday that the stamp series comprises six images: the National Monument (Monas) Landmark in Jakarta, Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi, Wamena in Papua, Komodo, Orang Utan, and a logo of Indonesia as the Guest of Honor of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015.
During the 2014 book fair, an Indonesian-themed stamp series was also published.
According to Malvino, mail post is still the main medium of communication in Germany.
"These Indonesian stamps are expected to introduce Indonesia to the German communities," he added.
The stamps bear the main theme of "17 thousand Islands of Imagination."
The Indonesian consulate will always communicate via mail post, including for sending the visa documents and other documents to other consulates.
