REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NEW DELHI -- More than 90 cars have been set on fire in the western Indian state of Maharashtra's city of Pune Sunday morning, a senior police officer said.

However, there have been no reports of any casualty yet, he said, on condition of anonymity.

Local TV channels reported that a person has been detained by the police in connection with the incident that happened between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. (local time).

"We have been scanning the footage of closed-circuit TV cameras to determine if any other person is involved in the arson," the official said.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added.
