REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The tropical fruits from Indonesia are increasingly popular among the community, Hungarian Ambassador to Indonesia Judit Nemmeth-Pach stated.

"Many people in Hungary are now seeking exotic fruits available in Indonesia," the Hungarian ambassador remarked here on Thursday.

According to Nemmeth-Pach, Indonesian tropical fruits that are popular in Hungary include bark fruit, dragon fruit, hamlet, longan, mangosteen, and others.

Several Hungarians are currently adopting a healthy lifestyle as a result of which the demand for Indonesian tropical fruits has increased, the ambassador pointed out.

"The change in lifestyle to consume organic products makes people look for alternative tropical fruits that are still elusive in Hungary," the ambassador noted.

She affirmed that the export potential of Indonesia's tropical fruits is huge, as the Hungarian market for these products is increasing.

Nemmeth-Pach added that Indonesian tea products also have high potential if the manufacturers can improve the packaging.

"Tea products from Indonesia are expected to perform better if their branding is oriented more towards capturing the high-class market," she explained.

She hoped that the potential for tropical fruit exports from Indonesia can strengthen relations between the two countries.
