REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MARANELLO - Ferrari introduced F12tdf types which was produced as a tribute to Tour de France, a legendary race which always be dominated by Ferrari in 1950s and 1960s.

F12tdf supercar represented concept of extreme road car which is also suitable on the race track. However, this type of car would only be produced as much as 799 units.

F12tdf was promising a concentration of technical innovation which involved all main parts of Ferrari: engine, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics. As a result, in terms of acceleration, grip and agility, this new Berlinetta was unmatched.

F12tdf performance was powered by naturally aspirated V12 with power of 780 CV, which was directly inherited from F12berlinetta engine that had won many awards.

Dynamic performance of the car was caused by enlargement by 8 percent on the ratio of the front tires than the rear tires. Oversteer tendency due to change in tires size was compensated by a rear wheel steering system which was innovative (called Virtual Short Wheelbase) and integrated with other dynamic control systems.

The redesign of the body, interior, engine, transmission and running gear, and also the use of carbon fiber on the entire outside and inside of the car, has slashed car's weigh as much as 110 kg. All these factors resulted in record-breaking performance: 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.9 seconds, plus a huge boost to the lateral acceleration.

Ferrari technicians made F12berlinetta engine series with capacity of 6,262 cc, configuration of V12, and an angle of 65 degrees. With this composition, the technicians managed to increase maximum power of output from 740 CV to 780 CV at 8500 rpm, which produced a specific power output of 125 hp/l
