Indonesian infrastructure competitiveness in 62nd world rank

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Global Competitiveness Report 2015-2016 released by the world economic forum stated that competitiveness of Indonesia's infrastructure is in position 62. It rose 10 level from the previous year.

"It can not be separated from the role of government and stakeholders who have worked hard to accelerate development of infrastructure," said Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (Menpupera) Basuki Hadimuljono.

Overall, the government's development based on stated budget 2015 has reached 91.20 percent of physical targets with 87.23 percent finance. He then explained what Indonesia has achieved throughout 2015.

In 2015 for the field of Water Resources, the government has completed five reservoirs, namely Jatigede reservoir in West Java, Nipah reservoir in East Java, Bajulmati reservoir in East Java, Rajui reservoir in Aceh and Titab reservoir in Bali.

At the same time, 13 new reservoirs planned to be built. The contract of reservoirs construction have been signed.
