REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has invited Indonesian businessmen to come and invest in the country to ensure an ever stronger bilateral cooperation in the future.

"I invite Indonesian businessmen to come to Hungary to invest," Prime Minister Orban said at the Business and Investment Forum of Indonesia and Hungary here on Monday.

He said Indonesia has a lot of opportunities and potential, and Hungary very clearly wants to cooperate.

PM Orban also expected the Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who has been to Hungary in 2000, to ensure more progress in cooperation ties between the two countries.

Vice President Kalla said Hungary and Indonesia have one thing in common, which is that these are stable countries.

"Hungary is a stable country, and so is Indonesia. Indonesia is the most stable country in the ASEAN region," Kalla said.

At the forum, some cooperation agreements were signed, including on water management between PAL Jaya Jakarta and Budapest Waterworks, trade between chambers of commerce and industry of both countries, as well as dissemination of information between the Indonesian news agency, Antara, and the Hungarian news agency.

Earlier, President Joko Widodo offered five investment opportunities for businesses in Hungary. These are in the field of water management, renewable energy, information technology, digital economy, as well as agriculture.
