REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The economic team of the "Working Cabinet" formed following the latest reshuffle is better and stronger compared to the previous one, according to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution.
"With the new team now, the outlook is not too different from the others," Darmin stated at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building in Jakarta on Thursday.
Darmin has yet to put forward the priority programs of the economic team, considering his ministers are new.
"Let us first sit together, which is obviously to focus on the State Budget (APBN) 2016 and APBN 2017," Darmin noted.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conducted a cabinet reshuffle by replacing several ministers mainly related to the field of economy.
President Jokowi appointed Sri Mulyani Indrawati as finance minister in place of Bambang Brodjonegoro, who has been appointed as the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) chief/minister to replace Sofyan Djalil.
Darmin sought their views on the government's economic team that were not merely limited to employment in the financial sector and national development but also in other sectors.
"The economic team does not merely oversee the financial sector and Bappenas but also the trade, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, and other sectors," he added.
