REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA – The license of fast-growing foreign Non-government Organization (NGO) in Indonesia was now tightened, the Deputy of Bill Committee in the Organization of House of Representatives, Michael Watimena, said. “We often have no idea on where the fund comes from. They have to explain their existence and their money sources,” Watimena said on Monday in Yogyakarta. He added, with the bill signed into law, the foreign NGO should report the sources of their money transparently and periodically.

The NGO should be listed and register themselves to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Police must pay attention to their existence,” he added.
