A British indie pop legend, Steven Patrick Morrissey, finally greeted his Indonesian fans for the first time in Tennis Indoor Jakarta. He appeared at 21:00 on the stage after the curtain fell and revealed an image of Oscar Wilde saying “Who is Morrissey?” Wearing blue shirt, the former vocalist of The Smiths sang ‘How Soon is Now’.

The audience all sang together with him. “Jakarta is full,” he said to his audience. He chose to color the show with six The Smiths songs, such as ‘Shoplifters of the World Unite, ‘I Know It’s Over’, and ‘Meat is Murder’.

He was so powerful during the show that the audiences were triggered to jump into the stage. Some were successfully hugged and shake Moz’s hand. “I did not expect this,” he said in surprisedly. His voice was clear and his spirit was alive. The concert last night was a gift to indie lovers in Indonesia.
