REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDINA - Indonesian government asked hospital in Saudi Arabia to increase the number of paramedic from Indonesia to improve health service of its hajj pilgrims. "Since last year, we have asked Saudi Arabian Government to open wider access for Indonesian paramedics," Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Bahrul Hayat, said, as reported by N Endah Hapsari from Republika.

Hayat said that Saudi Arabia had responded positively. "We are trying to increase the number of Indonesian paramedic," he said.

The additional Indonesia paramedic in Saudi Arabia is expected to speed up treatment process of Indonesian patients because they will not face language barrier. In addition, Indonesia will also send more specialists including psychiatrist to Saudi Arabia. 

Indonesian Government also provides inpatient facility in Indonesian Hajj Treatment Center. However, those with severe case will be referred to Saudi Arabian hospital.
