REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Fashion products contributed 71.98 trillion IDR to the export of creative industry in 2010, making it the biggest contributor among other subsectors.
"Fashion has been the highest contributor of creative industry export since 2002," the Acting Director of Design and Architecture at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Poppy Savitri, said on Thursday.
The Ministry prioritizes to develop the design and mode of fashion industry. It will facilitate the improvement of technical ability and management of mode industry. The Ministry will also routinely hold fashion forum.
"Another important point is to create trend setter mode in Indonesia," she said.
Aiming to participate in fashion week in London and France, Indonesian designers are urged to use international standard measurement. The Ministry would draft blue print of Indonesian mode, Savitri said.
