Indonesia seeks cooperation with France in tourism and creative economic

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia seeks cooperation with France on tourism and creative economy during the Paris visit of Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mari Elka Pangestu. Pangestu met with Minister of Art, Commerce and Tourism, Sylvia Pinel, Minister of International Trade, Nicole Bricq and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Sellal.

"During the meeting with Sylvia Pinel, we discussed on tourism development and creative economy particularly for small and medium enterprises. I also invited Sylvia Pinel to visit Indonesia," Pangestu said on Monday.

Pangestu said that both countries talked on bilateral relation as well as with European Union. They also discussed the importance of trade for economic development, job employment and the future of multilateral trade system under World Trade Organization (WTO). She believes that multilateral trade system is a solution for global economic problems. "Multilateral trade system guarantees certainty and transparency," she said.
