Treatment of Muslim women in the salon almost no difference with ordinary salon. However, this salon is dedicated to Muslim women who wear hijab. Men are not allowed to enter. Yuli Astuti, founder of 'Moz5 Salon' in Depok, East Java already has 26 Muslimah salons spread in Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan. "Sometimes, muslim women with hijab were uncomfortable to go to the salon, especially if there were men in it," Astuti said on Tuesday. On the other hand, Muslim women still wanted to look beautiful and need beauty treatments.
Muslimah salon doesn't provide care that is forbidden in Islamic terms. For example, revoke or shave eyebrows, connect hair extensions, hair bun and other treatments that are not allowed in Islam. Astuti said that 'Moz5 Salon' didn't just provide service for Muslim women with hijab, but also who didn't wear hijab, including non-Muslim women might also come.
