REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SOLO - State-owned pawn company PT Pegadaian has distributed loan to customers which are mostly middle-class economy amounted 29.3 trillion IDR, during the first quarter this year. President Director of Pegadaian, Suwhono said his company focussed to serve middle-class people.
"Most of our clients (75 percent) are customers of Class-C with loan’s range one million IDR to 20 million IDR," Suwhono said on Friday.
Pegadaian customers has increased from 14.3 millions in 2003 to 27.5 millions in 2012. The number slightly decreased in 2006 at 8.9 percent.
The growth is supported by variety advantages, including Pegadaian's services and its networks can reach remote areas. Pegadaian also offers easy access by its simple requirements and disbursement of funds, combined with satisfying services. In addition, Pegadaian branches spreaded throughout the country with 11,153 staff.
