REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian team was defeated 0-2 in a preseason friendly match with Liverpool FC in Jakarta on Saturday night. Yet, the result was even better for Indonesian team after earlier friendly match with Arsenal caused embarrassement and beat the host 7-0.

Indonesian team or Indonesia IX performed well and quite promising in the first minutes before Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho scored the first goal in ninth minute. After struggling, Raheem Sterling made the second goal for Liverpool in 88th minute. The score was 2-0 for Liverpool until the end of second half.

After the match, Liverpool's manager Brendan Rodgers said, "I think first of all the Indonesian team were very good. I think you can continue to work on your young players, get them as much experience as you can."

"I was really impressed by the attitude, quality and humbleness of Indonesian players and I'm sure for many years to come they can continue to improve as a nation," he said.
