REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned airline company, PT Garuda Indonesia graduated 21 new pilots from Bali International Flight Academy (BIFA). They are from 12th batch of Garuda Indonesia's pilot who received training in BIFA.
"Our cooperation with BIFA is very helpful in achieveing company's future expansion program. Particularly in line with needs of pilot who carry out development of fleet," Director of Operations in Garuda Indonesia, Novijanto Herupratomo said recently.
After 16 month education and training then obtain certification of Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Instrument Rating. Furthermore, those pilots will get further education for six months in Garuda Indonesia to get qualification on operating certain aircraft.
Chairman of BIFA, Robby Djohan said pilot training partnership with Garuda Indonesia had been running less then four years and had produced more than 280 pilots. BIFA also supports human resources for other national airlines. Garuda Indonesia also works with Curug Aviation High School Indonesia (STPI) and other flight schools.
